Can you feel the autumn breeze now? Every year when autumn comes, Mickey’s Halloween Celebration takes you on a wild ride with its interlude. Discover all the information about Mickey’s Halloween Celebration at Disneyland Paris.
The cavalcade celebrating the harvest season opens with Daisy surrounded by a few dancers. All are dressed in costumes of brightly colored autumn leaves. Just behind them, the first float in the procession, La Fête des récoltes, moves forward with Donald on board, perched on a cart well-stocked with pumpkins and sheaves of wheat. At the back, Balthazar Scrooge twirls a precious dollar pumpkin. Finally, The Three Little Pigs round off this walking unit.
Clarabelle and Horace introduce the next unit of La Ferme en Folie. The second float, topped by an old haunted building, welcomes Winnie, Coco Lapin, Eeyore, Tigger and Piglet. Owls, crows, black cats and spiders seem to have taken up residence on board. Pumpkins, mushrooms, fallen leaves, lanterns and haystacks complete the decor. On the back of the float and on the ground, roots and mushroom dancers come to life to conclude this act.
Then it’s time for the Horn of Plenty unit, led by the iconic Minnie Mouse and preceded by a few guests prepared for the feast that awaits them. This mythological object, used by Pluto, the Greek god of wealth and abundance, is brimming with fruit including oranges, corn, pumpkins, pears and many other foodstuffs. On the tip of the cornucopia, Clarice enjoys a suspended swing in the company of her usual Tic & Tac companions. A handful of sunflowers bring up the rear.
The rest of the ball is marked by the entrance of ghostly couples forming the start of the fourth unit. Just behind them comes the last, and by no means least, of the floats in this cavalcade. Mickey’s Illusion Mansion, which, as its name suggests, sees the evolution of the famous mouse created by Walt Disney. Endowed with magical powers of his own, Mickey performs a series of sleight-of-hand tricks to appear and disappear in three totally different costumes. Melanie Ravenswood and the Phantom, straight out of the Phantom Manor attraction, and Riri, Fifi and Loulou share the float with Mickey. The celebration finally comes to an end with some skeleton dancers.
As the heart of the festivities approaches, the various units split up and spread out around Central Plaza in anticipation of the wild party that is about to unfold. As the Phantom welcomes all the “poor mortals” together, all the characters and dancers in the cavalcade take their places on the stages and around the floats. What follows is a frenzied show punctuated by a host of pyrotechnic effects to amaze young and old alike. This festive moment in the heart of Disneyland Park comes to a close as the cavalcade continues along the parade route.
