Our team was delighted to be invited by the Fabulous Group to spend a night at the Grand Magic Hotel. From the moment we arrived in the morning, we were greeted with warmth and efficiency. We dropped off our luggage at the concierge desk before heading to the parks, thanks to the hotel’s free shuttle service. This convenient service enabled us to make the most of our day at Disneyland Paris without having to worry about our belongings while our vehicle remained in the hotel parking lot. By the way, free parking is included with all online bookings. Otherwise, it costs €17, compared with €30 at the entrance to the Disney parks.
The Grand Magic Hotel immediately immersed us in the magical world of Monsieur Maurice, the hotel’s janitor. The flamboyant red reception desk set the tone, with its fantasy-set décor and refined architecture adding a touch of magic right from the start. We had always been reluctant to stay outside the parks, fearing it would break the magic of our experience. However, this hotel proved otherwise. The magical atmosphere was there from start to finish.
Our spacious room was perfect for our family of five. Unlike the often expensive and limited rooms at Disneyland Paris, and even at Davy Crockett Ranch where there is no shuttle bus, the Grand Magic Hotel offered excellent value for money with its suites for up to six people. There are also connecting family rooms for up to 8 people.
The children’s facilities, such as the indoor pool and arcade, added an extra touch of fun for our family.
Dinner at the hotel buffet was also a memorable culinary experience. The variety of dishes on offer delighted our taste buds. The warm ambience of the restaurant and reception provided the perfect setting to round off our day.
After a restful night’s sleep in our spacious rooms, we started the day with an exceptional breakfast. Breakfast is included in the price of the stay! The Grand Magic Hotel’s buffet offered an impressive variety of choices. Freshly baked Viennese pastries, crusty breads, juicy fruit, refined dairy products, succulent hot dishes – there was something for everyone. Every member of the family was catered for, and we all enjoyed our morning feast in a convivial atmosphere.
The hotel bar was the highlight of our evening. We were captivated by the enchanting atmosphere created by the screens showing animated images. Projections of landscapes set in fantastic scenarios, accompanied by light effects, transformed our evening into a truly magical experience. We eagerly awaited each new atmosphere, our eyes sparkling with enchantment at every appearance.
We enjoyed delicious cocktails while taking in the immersive atmosphere. We spent several hours relaxing and soaking up the magic of the place, without really wanting to go to bed.
After breakfast, we decided to relax in the hotel gardens. This moment of tranquillity was magnified by an unexpected spectacle: the July 14th airplane ball! We were treated to a spectacular release of smoke in the colors of blue, white and red, a veritable visual festival that lit up the sky and added a magical patriotic touch to our stay.
In summary, our experience at the Grand Magic Hotel was a wonderful family adventure. Every moment spent at the hotel enriched our Disneyland Paris getaway. The airplane ball on July 14th, visible from the gardens, will remain an unforgettable memory. If you have any doubts about staying outside the parks, leave them aside. The Grand Magic Hotel will prove that the magic can be extended beyond Disney hotels in an equally enchanting way. Even for large families, who are often overlooked!
